Want to know some facts about world hunger!?
Blog by: Rachel, Vincent, and Chantel

Are you hungry? Did you know…

  • 11.3% of the world’s population is hungry. That’s about 805 million people who go undernourished on a daily basis, consuming less than the recommended 2,100 calories a day.
  • Roughly 98% of hungry people live in underdeveloped countries.
  • When a mother is undernourished during pregnancy, the baby is often born undernourished, too. Every year, 17 million children are born this way due to a mother’s lack of nutrition before and during pregnancy.
  • While hunger exists worldwide, 526 million hungry people live in Asia.

  2. Nice facts! Maybe next time you could include the sources so it doesn't look like you created the facts. It would also make more sense if you included the facts with the post below.
