We have Green Bins!
Blogged by: Jillian and the Green Crew
This week our green team got green bins for the school! They are located in the cafeteria, office, a few classrooms and workrooms, for a grand total of 17 green bins! We really want these green bins to be successful so please Timberwolves use the green bins and use them correctly! There will be lists posted above the green bins to show you what is allowed to go in the bins.
If you want a green bin or to get involved in our green team please come meet with us Tuesdays at lunch in Mr. Ford’s hospitality room, all are welcome.

Where Does Your Tim Hortons Cup and Lid Go?
By: Shaelynn and The Green Team
After doing a waste audit at NPSS we found that one of the worst items found in the garbage is the Tim Hortons cup and lid. The Tim Hortons cup is compostable and the lid is recyclable! So don't forget! :)

Wednesday December 9th, is the last day to submit any ecological art work to be presented at “Art Gone Green”, this Friday! It is not too late to show off your talents!!  We have had so many wonderful and creative submissions so far, from individuals, art classes, grade 9 geographers and even one from an elementary school! Footprint.jpg
Some of the work the wonderful grade 9’s have done for the show! Each footprint represents how they impact the planet, and how they will make a difference!

We invite YOU to our art show, taking place at Nottawasaga Pines Secondary School, at 12:00pm on Friday December 12th. Stop by and see the amazing artistic talents that are here at our school, and learn about the negative & positive impacts that we have on the planet! We look forward to seeing you there!!!
