The Tree Musketeers are Back to Update You
Blogged by: Vanessa, Mackenzie Sam and Tristin.

Before proceeding with our ideas we had to formally discuss our plans for this project with our principal, Mr. Pino, for approval. After meeting together with him and talking about our goal and our plans Mr. Pino was happy to approve our groups presented ideas. Since then we have moved forward with this project. We created a detailed to do list for each of our ideas and organized a timeline of when we hope to accomplish each. Firstly on our list we would like to create a short film/documentary interviewing the WWF’s (World Wildlife Fund’s) representative(s). We will be showing the documentary at a later date to the students here at NPSS. We are hoping to connect with the WWF to have a face to face interview with their representative(s) at which time we will get responses to specific questions we will be asking. We hope if all goes well we will get this opportunity to meet with the WWF representative(s). If we are able to meet with the representative(s) we will be providing microphones, a camera, and other technical equipment borrowed from our amazing tech crew at our school. Since our meeting with the principal, we have written our questions for the interview and have emailed them to the WWF  explaining our project and our hopes to get an interview with them. We have started working on the second task on our to do list in anticipation of visiting our feeder elementary schools. Our objective is to visit with elementary schools and teach younger students the importance of protecting the environment. We will teach them small tasks that they can do in their everyday lives to help the environment and make a difference. We believe that teaching the younger generation is important because they are our future. We have also started working on creating fun, educational activities and interactive games for the students to take part in during our visit.
