Improving Education for Children Worldwide
Our experience so far
Blogged by: Mya. Felicity, Maisie, Cassidy, Tautyanna
Our group has really enjoyed working to help this goal be achieved. We have had many ideas for this goal. We did call an indigenous school on November 1st to see if they are a school in need. They said needed help with their breakfast program, health care, counselors, and government funding. To help them with the breakfast program we are going to collaborate with Emma’s group (her goal is poverty) to do a food drive and any breakfast items that are perishable will be donated to the indigenous school. To help with government funds we are planning on writing letters to the government to raise awareness and to try to see if the government will help them with funds, also in the letters we are going to talk about how they need more support and counselors. We are also planning on being a part of the festival that will be taking part in the foyer and cafeteria. We are planning on selling drinks at the food/drink booth for $1.00 to $1.25. We are also planning on having a booth of games that has to do with our goal. Mya’s parents are going to see if they can help out by getting donations at their work and her mom works at a cleaning company so she is going to see if her company will be willing to donate cleaning supplies and if they are we’re planning on sending a basket full of cleaning supplies to the school.
