Nottawasga Pines Christmas Skate

Blogged by: Sarah , josh , Troy and Kyle

The NPSS environmental and resource management class is hosting a community wide skating event to promote recycling clothing and to support our local second hand store. The admission cost for this event is one new or used winter clothing item such as mittens, boots, jackets, sweaters pants etc...

The official date has not yet been determined, but it is hoped to be incorporated into one of the existing public skating times that the Essa Arena already hosts.

Here is a picture of one of the many phone calls that we're made to book the arena and to town council in attempt to find an available skating time.

Our next act is to attend the next town council meeting in hopes to get our idea approved.

  1. I love this idea! It not only helps the environment by recycling clothing but also helps to get people in our community out and active!
