Art Gone Green!

Eco Art show is coming to NPSS!!
Blogged by Rosalyn, Tyler P. and Kayla
Do you have an interest in painting, poetry, photography, general art and the environment? Do you have a creative idea that you would like to share? The NPSS "Art Gone Green" exhibit is a great way to show off, display and promote your artwork, as well as spreading awareness about our communities ecological footprint!

We are planning to run an exciting art exhibit, that will shock and capture the attention of students, staff and guests to Nottawasaga Pines! We are asking students to create art displaying their interpretations of our school, community and worldwide ecological footprint. Art pieces could include;
  • Paintings
  • Drawings/Sketches
  • Pottery
  • Photography
  • Poetry
  • And any other creative ideas you may have!!!

Our hope with this project is that these art pieces will help students, staff and guests to develop a greater understanding and passion for our school and communities Ecological Footprint!! Around the exhibit, shocking and surprising facts about the environment will be displayed, as well as tips and tricks to help reduce your personal negative impact on the environment.

As of now, our group is working on promoting the event, to insure we get a variety of artwork contributing to the exhibit. We are doing this by designing posters and writing creative announcements that will get the attention of artistic students in our school! In the near future, we will be visiting all of the current Art Classes, as well as English classes, to promote and provide information on the event.

Art is due to the organizers by Thursday November 27th

Thankyou so much for your support :)
This is the gallery space we will be using.  Lots of natural light and a great place to display art!

  1. So is all the art going to come from other students, or is your group going to make some?

  2. Is there a limit as to how large an artwork could be? For example could a student create an installation piece?

  3. I just started seeing your signs around the school. I'm excited to see all of the green artwork that students have created. Have you received any artwork yet?
