The Fair!

Last friday we had our global goals fair that our grade twelve world issues class has been working towards for a while, with the preparation and dedication we had for it, we think it went pretty well! We had our game where players had to answer a trivia question and then knocked a ball at three water bottles, if they got them down they could get a prize of a little bit of candy. By having an interactive game, we made our area more approachable and friendly, this attracted quite a few people. While they were there we had the opportunity to encourage them to look at our tri-fold board that had lots of climate change facts, we encouraged them to get thinking and ask questions. We gave them brochures that had some information on climate change and our goal. We hoped that people could actually learn something from us, and that was the point, to educate others. We were pretty amazed by how many people came down to the fair, how much people had already knew something about climate change, and how good our peers did. We were surprised by how many people were actually interested in what we had to say. We were really nervous for this fair, but it was really fun and a great experience, we’re very proud with the way that things turned out.
