Life on Land at the Global Goals fair!!!
Blogged by: Jared, Rebecca, Kennedy, Aimee

Last week on friday we had our global goals fair for our world issues class! At our booth we were trying to educate the students that were visiting our booth about our global goal Life on Land. Overall, the fair was a success for us. We had lots of students and staff visit our booth. At our booth we had our tri fold poster that described our goal, had various statistics about issues within our planet that relate to our global goal, and explained the Edible Essa program that we are donating the money raised from our bake sale towards buying seeds that we will give to the seed bank at our library within the school. Also at our booth, we had a trivia game that helped educate students and staff about our goal in a fun way. Our topics for trivia were deforestation, biodiversity, pollution, and organizations that help with trying to sustain the planet. Any of the students that could answer a question correctly received a prize of candy. We received some good feedback from from staff and students that did not know much about our goal, and were surprised at some of the facts that we had for our trivia game. We were surprised to see how many teachers were very interested in our game, but also did not know much about these issues that we have on the planet. It was funny that we were actually educating our own teachers at this fair!
