Mass Shooting In Las Vegas

Stephen paddock was a 64 year old man. He had a girlfriend and a family he had a life, but all he will be remembered for is what he did with his last day of life.

On October 1st, 2017 a man named Stephen Paddock open fired on a country music festival in las vegas from his room on the 32nd floor of the mandalay bay resort and casino, leaving 59 dead (including the shooter) and 556 injured with 45 of those still in critical condition in the hospital. They have deemed this the biggest mass shooting in U.S. history. Later the police found Stephen had killed himself in his hotel room before the police could get to him.

The festival had 22,000 people gathered to enjoy the music. At approximately 10pm he started shooting. At 10:08pm the first call to the police was made. At 10:28 police surround the mandalay bay resort. At 11:20 SWAT teams storm the 32nd floor room that Stephen Paddock was firing from. They gained entry using flashbangs designed to stun the shooter. Paddock fired through the door as SWAT teams were trying to breach the room. By the time they entered the room, he had shot himself dead. Seventy-two minutes elapsed from the first 911 call to Paddock being found dead.

The next morning they say they have located the shooters girlfriend Marilou Danley and say she is overseas and no longer a person of interest. She returned to the united states on October 3rd to give her statement to police investigators. Stating that she had no idea that her partner was planning such a terrible act of violence.
