Do we need to go “fully green”?
Blogged by: Chance

Some people say paradise doesn’t exist, that a perfect compromise between what we want and what we need can’t be met. In this inquiry I am looking into how close we can actually get to this proverbial environmental paradise. Whether money gets in the way or people are just not going to go for it I’m going to try to get as close as theoretically possible.

Above are plans for a Domain Eco Village duplex condominium planned to cost $495,000 per unit before construction, so obviously these “green villages” aren’t just called that because they’re environmentally friendly. Beside the plan is a picture of Long Island, New York for population comparison, since there are so many people it would cost a lot to get everybody into one, so I am trying to find a way to get towns and cities with a healthy equilibrium of these “green cities” and modern structure planning.

I will post again by the end of next week. My end goal is to make some sort of blueprint of a healthy equilibrium between modern towns and eco friendly towns.
