The Goal

The UN development goal 15 wishes to make life on land healthy and sustainable, they wish to do this by ensuring conservation, restoration and sustainable use of terrestrial and inland freshwater ecosystems. To promote the sustainable management of all forests, stop deforestation and restore degraded forests by reforesting. The UN wish to combat; desertification, restore degraded land, conserve mountain ecosystems, protect and prevent extinction of species, end poaching and trafficking of protected species, prevent and reduce the impact of invasive species, integrate ecosystem and biodiversity values, increase financial resources to conserve biodiversity and ecosystems, create financially sustainable forest management and provide incentives to developing countries to advance management or conservation and reforestation and finally to enhance global support.

Our Group

Our group wishes to focus on ending the pollutants we put into our earth and help halt deforestation, we are hoping to do this by raising awareness on twitter and facebook, we also are hoping to take old and discarded furniture and household items and upcycle them. The upcycled furniture and items are them going to be sold and all proceeds are going to go to the Friends of the Earth Canada foundation.

This is a really interesting goal and your idea for upcycled furniture is awesome! What kind of work does the organization(s) your donating to support? :)

The group Friends of the Earth Canada has a few goals. They wish to educate people on the protection of the environment, actively undertake activities to help preserve and restore the ecosystem, uphold organizations and governments with their promises with environmental protection and pollution related issues.
